I have run the Twin Cities Marathon 5 times. My PR is 4:16. My most significant run was the Brookings Half Marathon. It was sleeting and snowing and the half was cancelled, however, a group of us decided to run it anyway. It was my first "long" run back in 2000. I was so afraid I asked my little sister to drive her car behind me the entire way...and she did. I finished in 2:04 (unofficially).
Short-Term Running Goals:
To run the Quad City Marathon in September and qualify for Boston.
Long-Term Running Goals:
I want to run a marathon on my milestone birthday's; God willing at 60, 70, 80 etc.
Personal:
I am the mother of six children. I am married to a guy who loves running as much as I but not the long distances. I go out at 4:45 in the morning before anyone is even out of bed. My husband goes out at 6:00. My biggest fear is not being able to run due to an injury. Running is my therapy.
